Upgrading from Previous Version

If you are already using Hospital version 2.1 then you should upgrade your Hospital to current version 3.0 to get all the new features and bug fixes if any. The upgrade is pretty simple just follow the steps below and you will get the newest version of Hospital.

Always backup your all files and database before making an upgrade to avoid any accidental data loss

1. Create backup of all files you have made changes or customized for your features. After upgrade you should replace or re check these files for your changes.
2. Download the newest version from Us. Now extract and open hospital_update_2.1_to_3.0/step-1 folder.
3. Import migrate.sql file in your Smart Hospital database using phpmyadmin, while importing you must disable/uncheck Enable foreign key checks option at import page. After successfully import your database has been updated.

• After database update, copy all the files under hospital_update_2.1_to_3.0/step-2 folder and overwrite to under your Smart Hospital installation folder.

5. Check all directories permission required in System Requirements section.
6. Clear the cache of your browser and login to Admin Panel and check if everything is okay.
7. After update all roles permissions will be reset so if you have made any changes in permissions previously then re do them again.
8. If you are using your own language, make sure to add key phrases in language files described in Languages section System Settings > Languages.
